Performing an audit of COMSEC equipment up on shelves using a ladder.

What happened

I was on a ladder looking for an item on the top shelf of a cabinet. When I stepped down I thought I was stepping to the ground but was up one step higher. I fell backwards off the ladder. [REDACTED] heard me fall but did not see it.

Injury or illness

I hit my back on the end of a cube wall hit my head on a chair in the office and hit my upper arm on something else that I don 't know what. My back is very sore and had a 3 inch wide 10 inch long bruise which matched the cube wall. I had a lump on my head and bruises on my arm
