Before the incident

Employee was removing stakes that hold up material for the pickling process.

What happened

Operator stated they were loading material onto the rack when the piece slid off of the forks (Forks had rubber pieces on them at the time) and towards them. The piece struck her on the thigh and slid down to her knee. It also knocked the employee back onto the floor. Employee was taken to the nurse to be evaluated.
