Before the incident

Employee lifted the bizerba slicer cover to replace cheese for slicing

What happened

The machine had come unplugged which is why the machine stopped unlocking the interlock. [REDACTED] thought the machine was finished slicing so she opened the cover to replace the cheese; while doing this she did not realize the machine was unplugged which leaves the blade where it is when connection is lost. She placed her arm in the machine to replace the cheese but caught the outer edge of the under side of her right forearm on the edge of the slicing blade.
