Installing a [REDACTED] windshield

What happened

While installing a [REDACTED] windshield the employee was carrying the window and positioning it for installation. As he reached outward to align it the window began to slip. In an effort to prevent it from falling and to avoid the retainer striking the aircraft skin he instinctively attempted to catch it. During this motion his thumb was hyperextended resulting in a sprain between the thumb and forearm.
