Before the incident

Getting equipment ready to load and spread fertilizer

What happened

Employee had been lifting fertilizer bags and dumping them into the spreader. When lifting a bag he felt a crunch and had pain to the left shoulder.

Injury or illness

Left Shoulder X-ray negative. MRI showed minimal tendinopathy involving the upper third of the subscapularis tendon. Evaluated by Physical Therapy and given home exercises to strengthen the left shoulder.
