Before the incident

employee was folding up the retention ramp on his liftgate preparing to close up his stop and move to the next stop

What happened

While he was holding the retention ramp with his left hand his right hand was on the liftgate in between the liftgate floor and the retention ramp. The handle for the retention ramp slipped out of his hand causing the retention ramp to quickly fall to the liftgate floor. The retention ramp fell on top of his right hand causing his right thumb to get hurt.
