The employees written description of events is as follows. I went into [REDACTED] [REDACTED] 3 at about [REDACTED] to do blood work on a [REDACTED] woman when I was done I pulled out the needle and tried to pull up the safety shield my hand then slipped as I tried to pull the safety shield up and I poked my left pointer finger with the needle. The needle went through my glove and drew blood on me. What caused the incident? My hand slipped when I tried to pull the safety shield over the needle.
