The employee removed the cutter from its initial pallet and onto the pallet being brought back to shipping area. When the employee sat the crate down a nail caught the employee 's left hand.

As Devlin was building the crate he needed to staple a corner of the crate together and had his hand too close to the head of the staple gun. As the staple went into the wood it did so at a slight angle and a 1 4 of the staple hit his finger.
