What happened

This nurse was collecting blood from patient in room 9 at FSED and starting IV for this patient I attempted to flush the line the line would not flush so I was pulling back on the IV and the pressure from the fluid going in shot back in my face blood from the site. I felt it go into my left eye and blood was splattered all over my face. I immediately went to washing station and flushed my left eye over and over.
