PT WAS HAVING AN EMERGENT CHEST TUBE PLACED AT BEDSIDE AFTER A RAPID RESPONSE WAS CALLED. PT WAS IN A LOT OF PAIN AND KEPT MOVING. ONE [REDACTED] WAS HOLDING HIS RIGHT HAND ABOVE HIS HEAD. I WAS HOLDING HIS LEFT HAND AND HIS LEGS. DURING THE PROCEDURE PT BECAME REALLY PAINFUL AND SQUEEZED AND PULLED ON MY RIGHT HAND AND THUMB. I HEARD A POP AND MY HAND STARTED SWELLING AT THE BASE OF MY THUMB.
