Before the incident

Employee was assisting a crane operator and were attempting to separate with a crane lifting hook (7 pieces) 2 x 2 x 1 4 of steel angle iron from designated storage rack.

What happened

When they lifted a layer of steel angle from the side and had it in the air the employee slid a small board too far in front of steel bundle with his right hand. That exact moment the angle slipped from the picking hooks and pinned his right-hand index finger.
