Before the incident

Waiting at [REDACTED] door for gate agent to place the ramp during the deplaning process.

What happened

On completion of the 2nd leg (LAS-BLI) of a double pairing my right hand thumb was injured. After disarming the doors and the ramp was in place the gate agent gave me the “thumbs up” and I in turn gave him the thumbs up in the window.. Before I had the opportunity to pull my hand away from the window the door opened quickly and the maintenance technician rushed through the door and into the flight deck. Because I didn’t have ample time to move my hand away from the door my thumb hand was forcefully slammed between the orange lever and the aircraft door.
