What happened

I turned on the hot water in the patient 's bathroom sink to wash my hands and the water scalded my right wrist as witnessed by [REDACTED] LPN. I called Plant Ops at [REDACTED] and spoke to [REDACTED]. He stated that the water had been turned off to the "towers" overnight from about 2100 to [REDACTED] for maintenance. He advised me to turn on the hot water faucets to several sinks throughout the unit to allow the hot water to drain until normalizing in temperature. I then notified the CNC of 7T for the shift [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] of my injury and the details of my phone call with [REDACTED]. I called the House Supervisor for the shift [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] and she advised me to fill out a Vigilanz and notify her if the burn worsens. I notified my direct supervisor [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] and she advised me to notify her if the burn worsens.
