Before the incident

Operator was cleaning the metal chips and stringers off the turret and chuck. Operator was using compressed air and using the nozzle to physically push stringers to the left onto the chip conveyor.

What happened

One of the stringers was stuck and did not move. When the operator moved the nozzle to the left the stringer slip up the nozzle and across the top of his left index finger.

Laceration to the top of the left index finger between the palm and first knuckle.
