What happened

Had just administered oral medications and insulin to the resident. I had the empty medication cup alcohol wipe and needle cap in my left hand. After I administered the insulin to the resident with my right hand I tried to engage the safety with my left hand my fingers slipped and i stuck my left ring finger with the needle.
