What happened

The athlete was changing an image plate on the pad press machine The bar designed to hold the ink cup was in the down position this bar should be in the up position to allow the image plate to be inserted properly When the athlete attempted to slide the image plate into position it became jammed due to the bar being down resulting in a laceration to the athletes pinky finger
