Before the incident

Employee alleged: After administering TDAP vaccine to the patient attempted to close the safety needle. I tapped it lightly and heard a clicking sound assuming it was locked. While transferring the syringe to the sharp container the needle accidentally punctured my left inner arm. The area bled slightly the accident immediately reported to the supervisor and the wound was cleaned soap water and evaluated by OHS. Needlestick injury to the inner left arm. Minimal bleeding.
