Employee alleged: Holding syringe to aid with blood culture draw needle withdrawn and put aside was not retracted and stuck my finger for a moment; immediately retracted needle and disposed in sharps. Small drop of blood noted through my gloves by end of procedure once I de-gloved there was no sign of blood or injury. Small pinprick to distal palm or surface of left 4th digit. Left ring finger. Finding: needlestick injury treatment per guidelines.
