Cutting his shoelaces with a utility knife.
What happened
The end of his laces were frayed and he could not get the lace into the eyelet of the boot. He decided to use his utility knife to cut the end of the lace so it would fit through the eyelet. As he was cutting his blade slipped and it impacted his right thumb causing a cut along and underneath the pad of his right thumb.
