Employee stated that she was assigned to a patient on 8C room 177B and while she was doing the skin assessment the patient grabbed her left hand 's index finger and twisted it and she felt a sharp pain but did not report it because she thought the pain was temporary and would resolved on it own but after two weeks the index finger was swelling and tender. Pain and slightly swelling and tenderness to the left index finger and unable to fully bend while making a fist.
