NUM OR RN reports on 1 [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] in OR 2 experiencing back pain after assisting with holding patients shoulders steady while CRNA placed spinal. Reports took close to 30 minutes for spinal to be placed and during this time EE was standing in same position at side of OR bed holding patients shoulders steady while patient was sitting up in the bed. Reports patient was slightly sedated and a little wobbly so had to keep steadying pressure on patient during entire procedure. Reports felt lower back tightness during procedure and then afterwards when walking felt pain 4 10 in central part of lower back. Per Portal Entry: Assisting CRNA position patient for a spinal pts was sitting up on OR bed foot of bed lowered somewhat myself standing on patients right side arms around patient 's shoulders keep patent from sliding off bed or leaning one way or the other for spinal.
