At one point the nail gun malfunctioned and shot a nail expectantly The employee wasnt sure what had caused it but chose to continue to use the gun rather than stopping disconnecting investigating or further escalating the concern Shortly thereafter the employee shot himself through his third metacarpal on his left hand from a distance of about 3 to 5 inches above the hand
