Before the incident

Employee was manually moving a pallet out of the cooler

What happened

Employee States: Employee had lifted a pallet up onto its side in order to slide it out of the cooler. While moving the pallet in the cooler the employee slipped and felt like he was going to fall. During the attempt to catch himself from falling his right hand thumb became caught in the pallet. This caused a strain in his right thumb and hand. Employee finished his shift. Upon returning to work today he notified his manager of this happening and he was advised to file an incident report.
