Before the incident

Exiting trailer operating a double pallet jack.

What happened

Employee States: After loading my list pick pallets I was coming out of the trailer on my pallet jack and I went to turn off the dock plate the handle locked up abruptly forcing it to collide with my chest. I felt okay at the time of the incident but later when I went to lay down at night my lower back was instantly in pain. The following morning at crew out is when I reported the incident. It hurts to sit down or bend forward.
