What happened
The injured sanding booth associate was attempting to twist turn and hold one of the boom carts back in place that had moved while the second sanding booth associate lowered the upper portion of the cart using the controls. The injured associates thumb was in the line of fire while the upper portion was being lowered. The associates thumb was pinched between the upper portion and the base of the cart.
