Before the incident

What happened

Employee was working the plate freezer # 8 when suction hose #2 and #6 had a vapor leak of ammonia. The employee had direct contact from the vapors causing him to have breathing problems. Once I safety arrived to the plant the employee was outside spitting up. I was able to stand him up and get him to the safety office. I called EMS and they came and took him to the ER for more evaluation and he was there for a few hours for observation
