What happened

Crew lead was backing up a company pickup truck to a spray trailer. A temp employee was sitting on the tailgate of the pickup truck while it was backing up to the trailer. The driver was looking over his shoulder to determine how close he was. He went to apply the brake and his foot slipped off and pressed the accelerator instead. The back of the pickup truck slammed into the trailer. The temp went to raise his legs to avoid contact with the trailer. His feet came in contact with the trailer. This caused two of his toes to be fractured.
