Before the incident

Replacing a damaged beams from the racks. We were using a scissor lift to reach the height of the beams and a screw driver to unhook the clips holding the beams in place.

What happened

While going down on the lift the beam in IW hand came in contact with the floor. causing the beam to shift up and pressing up against the railing of the lift. IW thumb got struck by this movement.
