Removing mesh grating from a mobile ramp with an angle grinder

What happened

Employee was using an electric angle grinder to remove some damaged mesh and repair a mobile dock ramp in the Maintenance [REDACTED]. In the process the grinder kicked back and the cutting disc contacted the employees left hand between the pointer and middle fingers causing a laceration. Employee was transported by sit Security to the Sanford Occupational Medical Clinic for evaluation and treatment.
