Before the incident

[REDACTED] was assisting with the startup of Sheet Line #3. As the sheet was coming around the rolls he was cutting the edges of the sheet with a utility knife to taper it for startup.

What happened

While [REDACTED] was cutting the sheet edges the operator at the other end pulled the sheet to pick up slack. When the sheet was pulled the knife moved through the material faster than expected and continued forward striking [REDACTED]’s right thigh.
