What happened

EE was moving a gear tree with a built in basket and lid. Lid was hinged in place while EE moved the tree using an overhead crane. EE placed hand onto the tree to guide it from the staging area and tree tapped basket next to it unhinging the lid and fall onto his hand. Employee was wearing cut resistant gloves but not using a tag line.
