Prior to incident I was completing my nursing assistance duties including discarding of linen in the appropriate area.

What happened

When arriving to the linen shoot I opened the shoot with my left hand and put the linen bag with my right hand after dropping the bag and letting go of the shoot door the door slammed down so quickly without achance of removing my hand causing injury.
