Before the incident

Employees (multiple) had slid the patient onto the chair; the chair was flat when patient was placed on it; employee was attempting to raise the head of the chair back to normal position.

What happened

Mobilizing a patient; pushed lever on the chair to raise the head up; when squeezed the lever a loud pop was heard and a pull felt in employee 's right arm that radiated down to elbow. Employee was only using one hand to push the lever.
