Before the incident

TM was aiding another Assembler in Large Wheel Stand 1 by assisting in the installation of a seal carrier on a 108 Wheel. The TM was trying to prevent a Toric Ring from falling out of the bottom of the seal carrier assembly using their hands while the Assembler was seating the assembly by striking it down with two dead blow hammers. As the Assembler hit the Seal carrier assembly the carrier unexpectedly dropped pinching the TMs distal phalanx of the left ring finger resulting in a Tuft Fracture and laceration of the distal phalanx. The Seal Carrier assembly dropped approximately 2 inches.
