The employee reported that she stepped onto what she believed was a pallet; however- it was partially a sheet of cardboard placed adjacent to the pallet. As a result- her foot landed partially on the cardboard and partially on the pallet- causing her foot to roll or twist unnaturally. She immediately heard a loud popping sound from her foot upon impact.
