What happened

While hammering the flange in on the anvil a piece of hot material flew and hit him in the abdomen which entered his left lower quadrant causing a large laceration and internal injury leaving the shrapnel inside his lower intestinal area.

Injury or illness

Lower quadrant in the abdomen that traveled into his right lower quadrant region causing internal perforation and bleeding. The metal also lacerated across his abdomen from left to right leaving a two to three inch opening.
