What happened

I was administering insulin to patient in room 2259. When I finished I went to put the safety up on the insulin syringe with my right thumb. My right index finger was sticking up and got poked. I took my gloves off and noticed a tiny drop of blood on my finger. I immediately washed with soap and water and let my charge and nursing supervisor know.
