The employee worked 3 days in a row prior to reporting to manager. No shifts more than 7 hours.

What happened

Over the course of the [REDACTED] whenever I worked the ticket counter for any length of time I noticed increasing lower back pain. [REDACTED] the pain began persisting all day night. I started taking anti inflammatories and tried to change my baggage handling techniques but it did not help. The only time it calms down is when I am not lifting bags for long stretches like 5-6 days on days off. This [REDACTED] I have been asking co workers to assist with bags in an effort to get it to just calm long enough to subside. It helped some though is not helping enough and my coworkers cannot continue to cover my lifting. I have been on ticket counter solo for longer stretches when we are short handed and those instances have definitely contributed to this situation getting worse [REDACTED]. The ticket counter is not ergonomic and it is extremely difficult to lift consistently in way that is safe and will not result in injuries due to it’s design.
