Before the incident

I had finished drawing blood from patient I went ahead and removed the needle from his arm and as I was putting on the safety cap the needle rested against my hand and poked my glove. I finished putting the needle away and took my glove off to double check and there was a tiny hole so I grabbed some alcohol pads and rubbed the area and checked for any skin rupture. I was able to see a tiny amount of blood coming out of the skin so I wiped it and went to my supervisor.
