What happened

The warehouse loading dock 's lift gate chain was jammed and cannot be closed. The employee tried to unjammed the lift gate by pulling on it. He was able unjammed the lift gate. However the lift gate came down too fast and it slammed his left thumb. The incident sprained his left thumb.
