Before the incident

There were two crates stacked on top of one another. EE lifted top tank from stack to lower to floor. The tank crate slipped from his hand. EE felt sharp pain in lower back area. [REDACTED] knees were bent to catch falling crate. He awkwardly turned and felt pain.

What happened

Employee retrieved stacked tank crates from dock area with pallet jack and positioned them in work area. Employee next cut the strapping that held the top tank crate on the bottom tank crate. Employee lifted top tank from stack to lower to floor and while doing so the tank crate slipped from his hand. While trying to prevent dropping the crate on floor foot employee felt sharp pain in lower back area. Employees knees were bent for lifting but while trying to catch falling crate he awkwardly turned and felt pain.
