Before the incident
Moving and opening ice bags to load mixer
What happened
Injured employee was moving and opening 30lbs bags of ice to empty onto a conveyor to load to his mixer truck. Another Employee was assisting and using a folding blade pocket knife to cut open the plastic bags. While the injured employee was still grasping the end of an ice bag the other employee reached with his knife to cut it open and stabbed the injured employee 's finger by mistake.
