Employee cutting out a weld with a grinder.

What happened

Employee was putting on a new coil. Once he was done with the splice he knew it would not make it through the roller because it had too big of a gap in the weld. He then ground the weld apart and was grinding down the metal on the coil. When he started cleaning up the metal in the machine the grinder slipped and cut his ring finger on his left hand.
