Just finished splicing the next coil on to the previous one at the welding station.

What happened

The piece of banding that struck him was stuck on the coil by the stickers we use when receiving coils to mark what size material the coil is. The sticker kept the banding on the coil so he ran it through the mandrel a little bit and pulled the banding down. when he pulled down the banding had slack on the back end and came around and struck the employee on the ear causing a laceration.
