Before the incident

EE was using a 6-foot ladder to access the forward battery bay on the R H side of the aircraft.

What happened

The employee had tools in his right hand and was not maintaining contact with the ladder with his left hand. He started descending the ladder and his right foot missed the third step from the bottom causing him to fall from the third step to the floor.
