On [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] two associates were preparing a new roll of backing on the coater During the process [REDACTED] was responsible for placing the backing pole sleeve on the backing pole on the east side of the roll [REDACTED] realized that the sleeve could not fit into the core due to a damaged end on the core While attempting to adjust the backing pole sleeve [REDACTED] 2 simultaneously started to actuate the backing lift arms [REDACTED]s middle and index finger on his right hand became caught between the backing pole sleeve and the backing lift arm Immediate first aid was provided on site and [REDACTED] was subsequently sent to the emergency room for further assessment and treatment
