What happened

He was jumping back into the van and somehow didn 't get his footing all the way and there was no handle to grab onto. He fell backwards out of the van and couldn 't get his arms down to catch himself resulting in landing on his side and my shoulder onto the pavement and then hit his head due to the force of the fall.
