Before the incident

The employee was working on a large part performing assembly tasks. They were moving a short platform (approx 20inches tall) up against a fixture.

What happened

When they stepped up onto the platform they had not placed the platform close enough to the fixture. This created a small gap where their left foot fall through. During the short fall they hit their lower left abdomen on the fixtured edge which caused an injury.
