electrical work in ceiling pulling surgical light on the ceiling to change a ceiling tile had to unwire the light

What happened

There were exposed wires and when I touched the metal on the roof framing with both forearms at the same time experienced shocking sensation for a couple seconds. Did not fall off the ladder or sustain trauma. Discomfort between shoulder blades and in the chest
