What happened

Employee was putting pallet slips on pallets using a hammer stapler. While holding the pallet slip to keep it smooth due to the wind blowing he misjudged his strike and struck his left index finger instead of the pallet. The staple would not freely come out of his finger and so he had a co-worker pull it out with a pair of pliers. The wound was bleeding and he washed it with running water cleaned with an antiseptic wipe and then wrapped it with bandaging.
